Overview

Interra Energy’s RPG™ (Replace Perforating Guns) system is designed to give the operator total control of their completion strategy. This field-proven, unlimited stage system is designed for both single and multipoint entry completions. It has a consistent large seat ID from toe to heel, enabling unlimited stages, and a sleeve design that is proven, simple and reliable. Electronic components in the plug allow for minimizing risk related to exposure time, temperature and fluids.

Operation

A uniform RPG sleeve is installed with the liner placed throughout the lateral at any required spacing. Stimulation is completed by deploying a Wireless Frac Plug (WFP) with a proprietary non-mechanical internal counting mechanism. As the plug passes each RPG sleeve, it registers as a “count.” When the target number of counts is observed, the plug engages and shifts open the target sleeve or cluster of sleeves.
With the targeted sleeve(s) open and the plug locked in place to isolate the stage, the stimulation is pumped and followed with the next plug, programmed to “count” to open the next targeted sleeve(s). Following stimulation of all stages, flowback can begin immediately through the center of the plug without intervention.
